St. Luke’s currently boasts a student pass rate of the state boards of 99% among its’ annual, graduating student body. This is among the top 5 passing percentages for all nursing schools in the Philippines.
It is St. Luke’s unique responsibility and pleasure to be able to make this established nursing school curriculum and academic expertise specifically available to American and U.S. based students. Adding this new directive to the College’s mission statement will make St. Luke’s the first and only nursing school to have developed a degree program exclusively for U.S. based students in the Philippines. We are very excited to be able to make this educational offering to interested and qualified students and look forward to helping to generate a great first class of American trained and qualified RN’s.
Travel in the Philippines
The National Geographic has recently (11/09) named the Philippines, one of the …”25 best new travel destinations in the world for 2010.” In its’ November Adventure issue, the magazine cites the Countries…”ancient cultures, structure and bio diversity…” as key reasons to visit. The magazine goes on to describe the Philippines as ...”harboring as many islands as the Caribbean and some of the most spectacular reefs on the planet “.
From the Philippines, there are any number of other lands and cultures to experience that are readily accessible from this start point. Some of the obvious of these would include Japan, China, Hong Kong, India and Indonesia.
RN Jobs
At this writing, the St. Luke’s College nursing education will enable a graduate from this school to be board, or NCLEX eligible. In conjunction with the St. Luke’s degree, passing this exam will prove the primary determination for working as an RN in the U.S. In any event, St. Luke’s and its’ US affiliates, will be monitoring the U.S. nursing academic and state board requirements on an ongoing basis and will make changes in the curriculum whenever they might be deemed necessary to equal that of a graduate of an accredited American nursing school.
